How am I to respond to (externally and internally) unloving, inconsiderate, unforgiving (basically un-Christ-like) people who call themselves Christians?

I know the simple answer is to love them,
but I’m looking for guidance on the complex human answer.
When/how to approach issues and when to just ignore them
to develop their own consequences?
