Lift up before the Lord someone you know who is walking in spiritual darkness. Pray that they will be drawn to the light of Jesus to be transformed. Pray that we will practice living in the truth in such a way that those who are in the dark, will see the light of Jesus. the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. Matthew 4:16 quoting Isaiah 9:2

Paul's prayer for the church in Rome - living in a dark time - is that even in the midst of the darkness they would "put on the armour of light." Jesus, in John's gospel, is called the light of the world. We are living in a world that, in many senses, is becoming increasingly dark. Pray that those in our circles would place their faith in Jesus, the One who is the Son of God, resurrected from the dead ...the gospel promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead:
