Paul was bold in speaking because the Lord kept on reminding him that there were many others walking with the Lord. Remember you are not alone. The Lord is with you, and there are other followers of Jesus who are also being strong in the Lord.
One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” Acts 18:9-10
Paul was encouraged by God’s presence.Pray that we too will be bold in sharing and living the gospel because of God’s presence with us.

As we pray, we do so with confidence in and before God.
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. I John 3:21-22
The reason we can pray is because Jesus has opened the way. He enables us to come with boldness to pray for others.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:19-23

prayer
Sunday nights @ 6:30pm we gather in a zoom room to pray.
As we see what is happening in our world – we need more than ever to pray.
Join us tonight… or if you can’t send us a prayer request: email prayer request.
God’s Spirit helps us to pray. So we look to the Spirit to direct and guide and show us how to pray. There are many times when we don’t know what to pray, but the Spirit takes those groans and brings them to the Father.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. Romans 8:26-27
Pray that we would learn to pray at all times in the Spirit, being alert.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18
Pray that every follower of Jesus connected to OCC will minister in the Spirit…
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:18-20
Pray that we (as individuals, as OCC, as the church in Orillia, and as the worldwide church) will not try to serve God by doing religious stuff in our own strength, but will understand what the will of God is and serve him in and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:17-20
