It’s easy to fall into a legalistic way of doing things… pray that all of God’s people would live and walk in the grace, truth and love of God.
For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh,in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.Romans 8:3-4

In a world where it is sometimes difficult to reconcile social justice, political correctness, economic recovery and biblical truth, let us be asking God to help us live out these verses.

As followers of Jesus we are brand new people, we are changed, transformed. Old ways of thinking and living are done away with. We are new in Christ. Pray that God’s people would reflect the light of Jesus and not the darkness of this world.
if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:
The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17
Racism is front and centre in the news. And not just individuals being racist but the deep-seated systemic racism of culture. Pray that followers of Jesus would be so ongoingly transformed by the love of Jesus that they would confess their racism and grow in learning to love people, regardless of race, political party, nationality, or colour.
Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.Colossians 3:11
We live in an age that sees the unborn as just a blob of cells. Our culture sees choice as the highest value. But sadly, choice, means that some of no rights. May we as followers of Jesus be there for those who feel that abortion is their only choice.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5
How we speak, and how we live in relationship is so important. Pray that as believers all of our relationships (family, friendship, work, church) will be solid.
Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth. Malachi 2:15-16
Domestic violence seems to be on the rise. Pray that we followers of Jesus we would live in peace and mutual submission, modelling to our world the love of Jesus in a family context.
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:21
