Prayer – 12 August
Paul reminds us... Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Ephesians 5:11 Pray that God will give us wisdom in exposing the darkness and walking in the light.

We live in a world that in some senses is not much different than that in Isaiah's day. May the people in our world see sin as Isaiah saw it. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Isaiah 5:20
Prayer – 10 August
Pray that we will live in a way that shows our love for those in the family of God. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 1 John 2:9-10

Back Yard get-togethers
We are planning some casual, back yard get-togethers on Sunday, August 23 starting at 6:30 pm. These will be outdoor, physically distanced opportunities for you to visit with others from OCC. Pray that every believer (in OCC, Orillia, our world) would remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood (people) but against spiritual powers. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Paul tells how Jesus sent him to the Gentiles so that their eyes would be opened, and they would turn from darkness to light. Pray that we would understand our role in partnering with God to help others turn from darkness to light. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness

Pray that as followers of Jesus we will live lives that children of the light... demonstrating goodness, righteousness and truth. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.
