During the month of November, we want to read through the Gospel of John together. We have designed this reading plan so that we have a couple of days to catch up each week – i.e. we will read 21 chapters in 30 days. During Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday (14 February this year) we are encouraging you to read through the Gospel accounts, from the time of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem through to the end of the Gospels. We are reading John's Gospel this lenten season. We take for granted the availability & assessibility of the written word. For the last several days I have been around peoples (Afar, Esen, Amharic, Oromo) who are largely illiterate.
